How UniVault works

Automation for your Uniswap V3 positions. Your NFT never leaves your wallet.

What you are approving

You keep ownership of your Uniswap position NFT. You approve one contract — the Router — and then record, per position, exactly which actions UniVault may take: harvest, compound, rebalance, AI trading, or any combination. You can revoke at any time, and revoking is never blocked, even while the protocol is paused.

Permissions are tied to the position's current owner. If you sell or transfer the NFT, its permissions stop working immediately.

Fees

UniVault charges performance fees on what you earn, not on your capital:

  • Harvest: … of the fees collected
  • Compound: … of the fees reinvested
  • Rebalance: … of the principal moved
  • AI trade: … of the trade output

These are read live from the FeeCollector contract on the connected network. Rate changes are capped in the contract and emit an on-chain event.

What the AI can and cannot do

An AI strategy runs off-chain and signs trade intents. It can only spend tokens you have explicitly approved, and every intent is re-checked on-chain against the limits you set: maximum trade size, daily volume cap, slippage limit and an optional token whitelist. There are protocol-wide limits on top of yours.

The AI can never withdraw your liquidity to an address other than yours, and it cannot trade a position whose signer you have revoked.

Risks worth understanding

  • Smart contract risk. Get an independent audit before trusting this with significant funds.
  • Upgradeability. Some contracts can be upgraded by the protocol admin; upgrades should sit behind a timelock so you have notice to exit.
  • Oracle limits. Trades are checked against Chainlink prices. If a feed is stale or missing, trading stops rather than guessing.
  • Rebalancing realises impermanent loss and pays gas and swap fees. More rebalancing is not automatically better.
  • "Auto-manage" approves the Router for every Uniswap position in your wallet, which is what automatic rebalancing needs. Each position still needs its own authorization.
